Do not vacuum wet surfaces, any type of liquids, hot substances (embers, cigarettes), super fine substances (plaster, cement, ash, etc.), large sharp waste (glass), harmful products (solvents, abrasives, etc.), aggressive products (acids, cleaning products, etc.), inflammable and explosive products (oil or alcohol based).
Place the charging base station against a wall, on a flat surface and where the robot vacuum cleaner can easily find it.
This location must be free from any obstacles (including rugs). Leave at least 1 metre of space free to the left and the right and 2 metres at the front of the base station. If the station is placed in a corner or if it is difficult to find, the robot vacuum cleaner will not be able to reach it.
Place the base station's power cable along the wall.

Place the virtual barrier box about 30 cm in front of the place where you would like to limit access. Place it in the direction of the arrow where you wish to create the Virtual Barrier and make sure that there isn't anything blocking it in front. The opposite end of the virtual barrier box must be in contact with a physical wall. Keep the virtual barrier at some distance from the charging station (more than 3m). If the virtual barrier is installed near it, the signal from the virtual barrier blocks the charging station and the robot will not be able to return there.
Do not use more that two virtual barriers at the same time. Moreover, the use of several virtual barriers for a small surface area can cause the appliance to malfunction.

No, the carpets and rugs cannot be more than 1.5 cm thick. Cleaning cannot be carried out if the carpets or rugs are dull or dark. The side brush cannot function correctly on carpets and may damage them.
Use the appliance only after having cleared the floor. Pick up and put away any objects strewn across the floor and any objects that are unstable as they may cause problems during vacuuming (for example, small rugs, wires, nails, etc.).
In addition, do not use the appliance in places that are deemed dangerous e.g. on a wet surface or near fragile or dangerous objects such as a candle or a glass bowl (this might cause a fire or damage the robot).

Yes, your ROWENTA robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with intelligent space sensors which protect it against falling.
However, there may be some situations where the space sensors are not as efficient; for example, around the edges of curved staircases, where there are rugs next to stairs, on slippery surfaces and when the sensors are obstructed.
You can perform the following checks:
Put the main power switch onto STOP and then onto START.
Unplug the cable and then plug it into the charging station again.
Make sure that the charging terminals and the sensor windows are not clogged up, then wipe the main body and the charging station with a dry cloth. Do not forget to switch off the main power switch and to turn off the robot before drying carefully.
Check to see if there is any obstacle such as a reflective object, a chair, etc. near the charging station.
If after these different checks, the automatic charging still does not work properly, have your robot vacuum cleaner checked by an approved vacuum repair company.
Your robot can run in a range of languages (French, Spanish, Italian, English, Dutch, German or Portuguese) depending on the model. To select your language, press the button on your remote control.
Check:
That the switch underneath the robot is correctly in the position.
That the display is lit up. If not, charge up the robot on the base station.
Check the following elements:
• The charging station must not be on a rug.
• The charging station must not be exposed to sunlight or near a heat source.
• The free space to the side and the front of the charging station is adhered to according to the instructions in the user manual. If not, move the charging station or the objects in the way.
• Is the round plug connected correctly to the charging station? If not, plug the charger's round plug into the charging station.
• Is the charger cable connected to the power supply? If not, connect the charger to the power supply.
• Is there an object near the charging base station? If so, remove any objects around the charging station.
• Are there any objects near the charging station terminals? If so, remove all objects on the charging station terminals.
• Is the charging station deactivated (led red)? If so, activate the charging station by connecting it to the power supply.
• If the virtual barrier is in place, is it placed at a distance from the charging station (more than 3m)? This is because if the virtual barrier is installed near it, the signal from the virtual barrier blocks the charging station and the robot will not be able to return there.
If after checking these elements, the robot still cannot find the base station, have it checked over by an approved vacuum repair company.

If the dust container is full.
The cleanliness of the filters.
If there is an object or rubbish which may be obstructing the suction hole underneath the robot.
Check:
That the switch underneath the robot is correctly in the position.
That the display is lit up. If not, charge up the robot on the base station.
That the robot is charged up enough. If not, change the batteries in the remote control.
Check:
That there isn't an object or something else stuck under a wheel.
That the robot is not blocked due to differences in the floor level.
That there isn't an error message displayed. (see the troubleshooting and error codes section in your user manual).
