No. It is not advisable to use a bulb of greater than 40W.

Firstly ensure the mirror is unplugged and has cooled down before replacing the bulb. You will need a "long" (as opposed to rounded) bulb of 40W. Once you have taken out the 2 screws, entirely remove the front frame, making sure that you do not scratch the mirror surface. Replace the bulb as you would usually and then replace the front frame, ensuring the screws are well secured.

After following the instructions in the user manual for starting the appliance, make sure that your electrical socket is working by plugging another appliance. If it still does not work, do not try to dismantle or repair the appliance yourself, instead, take it to an approved repair centre

Do not use your appliance. To avoid any danger, have it replaced by an approved repair centre.

Ensure that you position your mirror so as to prevent a fire. When in use your mirror must not be placed close to flammable objects and a radius of 15 cm around the mirror should be kept clear at all times (curtains, aerosols.) Before you put the mirror away make sure that it has completely cooled down.

The mirror head is two sided, on the one side is regular magnification on the other a 3x magnification. (In other words objects are three times their normal size).

Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled. Leave it at a local civic waste collection point.
