The robot app is exclusively for smartphones.
Our products are compatible with all operators and the majority of the boxes on the market.
You can connect your product to any WPA and WPA2 type Wi-Fi on the 2.4GHz frequency band.

If your Wi-Fi network is not visible on the product, it is possible that 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is not enabled on your box.
Most boxes allow you to activate it. Consult your operator's FAQ to find out how to do this.

Warning:
Your product cannot connect to a 5GHz Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi with a password containing special characters will not work as well as open Wi-Fi (not requiring a password).
The Robots app is available on smartphones and tablets
To reset the robot, press and hold the « Home » button for 15 seconds.
1. Check the Wi-Fi password and carefully re-enter it.

2. Keep your smartphone near the device and modem until the connection process is complete.

3. The device can’t connect to public networks such as those available in hotels.

4. Android phone: When connecting to the device, a pop-up may appear. During the connection process, the application will automatically connect you to the robot. It’s important to stay connected to this new network.

Depending on your phone, here are some examples of problems you may encounter.
  • If the pop-up tells you that you are going to change network because the one you are connected to does not have internet, refuse.
  • If the pop-up asks you if you would like to stay connected to the network without internet, accept.
  • If the pop-up tells you that the network does not have internet but does not suggest changing networks, don't do anything.
After several unsuccessful attempts:
  • Restart your Wi-Fi box
  • Turn the device off by holding the button "START" down for 5 seconds while undocked from its base, then turn it back on.
If you still encounter an error after several unsuccessful attempts:

• Ensure that your Wi-Fi router supports 2.4GHz and 802.11 b/g/n bands as this equipment does not support 5GHz bands.
• Check if the automatic reconnection to your domestic Wi-Fi network is correct.
• Activate the mobile data of your smartphone.
• Don’t use a VPN (Virtual Private Network).
• Retry the process and check that you have selected the correct Wi-Fi network.
• Retry the process and make sure you have entered the correct Wi-Fi password (Wi-Fi key).
• Keep your phone close to the robot and the station until the end of the pairing process.
• After several attemps, switch off and switch on the product.
• Reset the robot by pressing and holding the « HOME ⌂ » button for 15 seconds.
• Press and hold for 5 seconds the « HOME » and « ON-OFF » button until the two buttons’ lights are blinking and retry the process.
• Restart your smartphone.
• In case a warning window appears for internet connection, please maintain the connection with the robot.
• Make sure the station light indicator is white when it's connected to power and when the robot is not on the station.

Android phone:

• During the connection process, the application will automatically connect you to the robot. It’s important to stay connected to this new network.
• Depending on your phone, different pop-ups may appear during connection:
1) If the pop-up tells you that you are going to change network because the one you are connected to does not have internet, refuse.
2) If the pop-up asks you if you would like to stay connected to the network without internet, accept.
3) If the pop-up tells you that the network does not have internet but does not suggest changing networks, don't do anything.
After typing your password into your box, you encounter an error connecting to the cloud.

• When connecting to the cloud, an internet connection is required to successfully pair the devices. To do so, you can activate your mobile data or automatically reconnect to your home network.
• Ensure that the date and time on your phone are correct. Any difference will prevent the connection.

After several unsuccessful attempts:

• Restart your Wi-Fi box.
• Turn the device off and on again using the switch underneath the dustbin.

After multiple unsuccessful attempts, you can reset your device using the following steps:

• Press and hold the “HOME" button for 15 seconds until the two buttons’ lights are blinking. The robot will beep to indicate that it has successfully been reset. Then, to activate the pairing mode, press and hold for 5 seconds the « HOME » and « ON-OFF » button until the three buttons’ lights are blinking and retry the connection process.
To disable Wi-Fi module on robot, simultaneously press the "Home" and "Power" buttons until you hear a beep sound. The robot will automatically removes its connection to the phone.
The 3 buttons will then slowly flash for a few minutes. The robot will automatically removes its connection to the phone and router.
Once its done, you can't go back. To pair again, you will need to do the pairing process again.
In "Settings" on the right side of your home screen, you must choose the "WiFi settings" and "activate WiFi".
Then select your WiFi network and enter your password.
Here is the list of the most common problems and solutions by the frequency order.

  1. Pairing succeeded but the appliance isn't connected: if you see in the app that your appliance isn't connected, close and reopen the app.

    If you still don't see the appliance after this action,
    - Explorer Serie 40 products: put the robot out of its docking station and press the button 3 seconds. If you want to make another association with another phone, you may have to press the button several times to make it blink in orange.
    - Explorer Serie 60 products: restart the robot by using the switch next to the dust bin.
    - Explorer Serie 80 products: restart the robot by using the switch below the robot.

  2. Wi-Fi connection: check the Wi-Fi password and type carefully.

  3. Keep your smartphone close to the appliance and the modem until the end of the pairing process.

  4. Access Point Android: make sure that you keep the connection to the appliance if you see a confirmation message. This message can appear twice during the pairing process.

  5. Access Point iOS: after several attempts, restart your smartphone.

  6. Access Point iOS: during the connection to the appliance, a popup will appear to ask you to connect to the "SEB_ACCESS_POINT" network. Press "Join".

  7. Access Point: when you activated the access point,
    - Explorer Serie 40 products: does the LED flash orange + double beep?
    - Explorer Serie 60 products: does the Wi-Fi light flash quickly + beep?
    - Explorer Serie 80 products: is the Wi-Fi light flashing?

    If not, try again.

  8. Access Point Android: after several attempts, remove the network "SEB_AccessPoint" from your smartphone setting if you see it.

  9. Access Point Android: some smartphones have an option in the Wi-Fi settings to avoid the connection to a Wi-Fi which has no internet connection.

    For the pairing, please deactivate this option so that the smartphone allows the connection to the appliance. This option is identified in Xiaomi smartphones such as Pocophone F1 and Redmi note 8.

  10. Internet connection: be sure that the appliance that you are about to pair does not need a proxy.

  11. Android: you must allow the geolocation.

  12. Internet connection: check that you select a 2,4 GHz network in your Wi-Fi setting, not 5 GHz to connect your appliance.

  13. Connection to the cloud: check if the automatic reconnection to your home Wi-Fi is correct.

  14. Connection to the cloud: activate the mobile data of your smartphone.

  15. After several attempts: restart the Wi-Fi modem.

  16. After several attempts: unplug, wait for 20 seconds, and re-plug the appliance.
    If the problem is still present, reset the appliance (hard reset).
If you still encounter an error after several unsuccessful attempts:
Press the appliance's "Home" button for 5 seconds and check that the Wi-Fi light is flashing.
If not, turn the appliance off and on again using the switch underneath the robot.


If the error persists, it may be due to improper use of the phone:

Android phone:
During the connection process, the app will automatically connect you to the robot. It's important to stay connected to this new network.
Depending on your phone, different pop-ups may appear during connection:
• If the pop-up tells you that you are going to change network because the one you are connected to does not have internet, refuse.
• If the pop-up asks you if you would like to stay connected to the network without internet, accept.
• If the pop-up tells you that the network does not have internet but does not suggest changing networks, don't do anything.

iPhone:
When connecting to the appliance, a pop-up will appear and ask you to connect to the "SEB_ACCESS_POINT" network. Accept by clicking "Join".
If you fail this step several times, restart your phone and try again.
After typing in your password, you encounter an error related to connecting to the Wi-Fi network.

1. Check the Wi-Fi password and carefully re-enter it.
2. Keep your smartphone near the device and internet modem until the connection process is complete.
3. The device can't connect to public networks such as those available in hotels.
4. Android phone: When connecting to the device, a pop-up may appear. During the connection process, the app will automatically connect you to the robot. It's important to stay connected to this new network.

• When connecting to the cloud, an internet connection is required to successfully pair the devices. To do so, you can activate your mobile data or automatically reconnect to your home network.
• Ensure that the date and time on your phone are correct. Any difference will prevent the connection.

After several unsuccessful attempts:
• Restart your Wi-Fi box.
• Turn the device off and on again using the switch underneath the robot.

After multiple unsuccessful attempts, you can reset your device:
Press the "Home" and start buttons at the same time until the buttons flash to confirm the activation.
Some Xiaomi phones may experience problems when connecting. An unusually high number of pop-ups may appear.
The phones affected are those with MIUI system (such as Redmi and Pocophone models).

In this case, please try the following steps:
Settings > Applications > Manage applications > Rowenta Robots > Other permissions. On this page, accept the permission to "Change Wi-Fi connectivity".
Settings > Wi-Fi > Additional settings > Wi-Fi Assistant. On this page, deactivate the available options.
Do not vacuum wet surfaces, any type of liquids, hot substances (embers, cigarettes), super fine substances (plaster, cement, ash, etc.), large sharp waste (glass), harmful products (solvents, abrasives, etc.), aggressive products (acids, cleaning products, etc.), inflammable and explosive products (oil or alcohol based).
Place the charging base station against a wall, on a flat surface and where the robot vacuum cleaner can easily find it.
This location must be free of any obstacles (including rugs). Leave at least 1,5 metre of space free to the left and the right, and 2 metres at the front of the base station. If the station is placed in a corner or difficult to find, the robot vacuum cleaner will not be able to reach it.
Place the base station's power cable along the wall.

Before running the robot vacuum cleaner ensure space has no obstacles, power cords, clothing, or other potentially dangerous objects which might cause the appliance breakdown or other accidents.
The robot vacuum cleaner has 3 navigation modes:
• "Permanent map" (to personalize your cleaning per room)
• "No-go zones" (to define in which zone the robot shouldn't go)
• "Spot" (to clean a localised area)
Yes, the robot can be charged on the charging station, even when the robot's main power switch is turned off.
To send the robot back to its docking station press the "Home" button on the robot.
If the robot starts the cleaning from the docking station, it will return to the docking station.
It's not recommended to use the mop with water on sensitive floors such as parquets or carpets and rugs.
Check that the switch underneath the robot is correctly in the 'ON' position.
It's not recommended to use the mop with water on sensitive floors such as parquets or carpets and rugs.
To avoid these sensitive zones, you can create a no-mop zone around them: the robot will not go there when the water tank is installed.
It is recommended to clean the auto mop washing tray every one to two weeks. In the middle of the washing tray, there is a filtration grid that also need to be cleaned regularly.

Once you wash the filtration grid, make sure to re-install it in its original position, with the grid facing downward. If the filtration grid isn’t correctly installed in its original position, the robot doesn’t start.

When the waste water tank is full, the light indicator of the station is blinking red. Empty the waste water tank and clean the waste water tank. It is recommended to clean the waste water tank every two weeks For more details, please refer to the User Manual.

Before starting the cleaning session, fill in the clean water tank with clean water. Before starting the cleaning session, the robot will moisten the mops. At the end of the cleaning session, when the robot is docked, the station will automatically:

The spinning mops rotate to clean the floor effectively, even removing hard stains. Additionally, the robot is equipped with an extended mop that to efficiently clean along walls, edges and hard-to-reach areas.
The Hygiene+ bag adapter is a blue plastic component that ensures compatibility between our Hygiene+ bag and the station. This piece is essential for the proper functioning of the station. Do not throw away the adapter. It is reusable and required for each bag replacement.
Always keep the robot vacuum cleaner on the docking station, while you are not using it.
If you plan not to use the robot for a long time, fully charge and then take the battery out of the robot (make sure the robot is switched off when you take the battery out). Store them in a cool dry place. Recharge the battery every 3 months.
Do not use your appliance. In order to avoid any danger, you must have them replaced by an approved vacuum repair company.
Several possible reasons exist:
• If the robot did not start from its docking station, it will not return to it. In this case, the robot will return to its starting point.
• If the robot vacuumed in Spot mode, the robot will return to its starting point.
• If the robot is lifted up and put back down on the floor, it will try to relocate itself. If it can't, it will return to its starting point.
You can perform the following actions:
• Turn off and then turn on the main power switch.
• Unplug the cable and plug it again into the charging station.
• Make sure that the charging terminals and the sensor windows are not clogged up, then wipe the main body and the charging station with a dry cloth. Do not forget to switch off the main power switch and to turn off the robot before drying carefully.
• Check if there is no obstacle such as a reflective object, a chair, etc. near the charging station.

If after these steps, the automatic charging still does not work well, contact an approved vacuum repair company.
Check the following:
• If the switch underneath the robot is correctly in the 'ON' position.
• If the display is lit up. If not, charge up the robot on the base station.
The power-brush safety feature is activated when the robot identifies a risk.

Two situations may occur:
• The power-brush gets stuck: the robot attempts to free it and stops the vacuuming and the power-brush.
• The robot will try to free the brush: if it can't, it will turn off and you will have to clear it manually.

If the power-brush gets stuck in thick carpeting due to its long and/or thick fibers, or the robot has vacuumed the carpet for a long time, the power-brush will stop turning and the robot will continue vacuuming without it.
The robot may experience certain problems represented by error codes.

The robot can be reset by pressing and holding the "Home" button for 15 seconds. A beep is heard and the buttons blink when the procedure is successful.
1. Check to see if your robot is properly connected to your wireless network. Open the flip cover of the robot and check the Wi-Fi light is on.
If not, turn the robot off by pressing the "Start" button for 5 seconds and then back on by pressing the "Start" button until the lights are blinking while it's within range of your wireless network.

If the Wi-Fi light is still blinking, this can be for several reasons:
• The robot may be off or not have enough battery charge.
• The robot is outside the range of your Wi-Fi network.
• You changed the password for your Wi-Fi network. The robot is thus no longer connected to your Wi-Fi network. You must reset your robot by pressing and holding the "Home" button for 15 seconds and then reconnect it.
• The robot's internal software failed to update correctly. Follow the app's step-by-step instructions.

2. The robot's Wi-Fi light is on, but the app is not able to connect.
Your smartphone is not connected to the Internet (Wi-Fi or 3G/4G network).
Take the robot out of its station and press the "Start" button for 5 seconds to turn it off. Then turn the robot back on by pressing the "Start" button for 5 seconds until the button lights are on.
You can perform the following actions:
• Unplug the cable of the station and plug it again.
• Make sure that the charging terminals and the sensor windows are not clogged up, then wipe the main body and the charging station with a dry cloth. Do not forget to switch off the main power switch and to turn off the robot before drying carefully.
• Check if there is no obstacle such as a reflective object, a chair, etc. near the charging station.

• Make sure the robot is connected to power supply.
• Make sure the battery is fully charged.
• Make sure the robot is ON, by pressing the 'ON-OFF' button, the lights should be on. If the robot is off and lights are off, press and hold the 'ON-OFF' button for 5 seconds until the robot lights are on.
Check the following:

• The charging station must not be installed on a rug.
• The charging station must not be exposed to sunlight or near a heat source.
• The free space to the side and the front of the charging station adheres to the instructions in the user manual.
• The charger cable is connected to the power supply.
• There are no obstructing objects around the charging base.
• There are no objects near the charging station terminals.

If after checking these elements, the robot still cannot find the base station, contact an approved vacuum repair company.
The map may be lost if the robot has been manually moved to another location during cleaning or if the home environment has been changed (moved furniture). Please restart mapping by launching in the app a new exploration or a new cleaning session from the station.
There is not enough water in the clean water tank, please add water in the clean water tank.The waste water tank is full, please empty it. Please clean the openings of the waste water filter.
When taking out the clean water tank, some water in the pipe may be left under the tank. This is normal, please wipe with a dry cloth.
There are three reasons why the station's light might be red:

- The dust bag is full : it needs to be replaced. For more details, please refer to the User Manual.
- The dirty water tank is full : it should be emptied, cleaned, and placed back in its original position. For more details, please refer to the user manual.
- The clean water tank is empty : it needs to be refilled with clean water up to the MAX level. Do not add hot water to the water tank, as it may deform the tank.Do not add any substance like clearing agents,essential Oils, detergent or “Clean it” cleaning solution other than clean water to prevent damagingthe station and the robot.For more details, please refer to the User Manual.
The robot will not start if the filtration grid is not properly installed. Please ensure the grid is in its original position.Unclip the filtration grid.Remove any dirt and wash it under water.Re-install it in its original position with with the grid facing downward.Place the robot back onto the station. Make sure the charging contacts on the robot and the station are fully aligned. When the robot is correctly installed, you will hear a beep sound.
Yes, during the cleaning cycle, the robot regularly returns to clean and re-moisten its mops. It then resumes the cleaning cycle from where it left off. It does not empty its dustbin during the cleaning cycle. The dustbin is only emptied at the end of the cleaning cycle. When the robot finishes its cycle, it returns to its base and automatically empties its dustbin.
The robot returns to its base at regular intervals every 8, 10, or 12 minutes, depending on the settings in the app. It goes back to the base to clean the dirty mops and re-moisten them, ensuring spotless floors throughout the entire cleaning cycle.
1. Check to see if your robot is properly connected to your wireless network (robot's Wi-Fi light on).
If not, turn the robot off and then back on with the “ON/OFF” switch located under the robot while it's within range of your wireless network.

If the light is still off, this can be for several reasons:
• The robot may be off or not have enough battery charge.
• The robot is outside the range of your Wi-Fi network.
• You changed the password for your Wi-Fi network. The robot is thus no longer connected to your Wi-Fi network. You must reboot your robot and then reconnect it.
• The robot's internal software failed to update correctly. Follow the app's step-by-step instructions.


2. The robot's Wi-Fi light is on, but the app is not able to connect.
Your smartphone is not connected to the Internet (Wi-Fi or 3G/4G network).
Restart the robot by using the switch underneath the robot.

Yes, it is recommended to use the robot vacuum cleaner to maintain the cleanliness, but there are still surfaces where the robot does not perform as efficient as non-robotic vacuum cleaners.
Yes, you can schedule a single cleaning session or set up a daily cleaning function through the mobile application.
The robot is limited to one program per day in order to ensure optimum cleaning of all accessible rooms.
This is because the robot didn't start from its docking station: since the robot returns to its starting point, it will go back to where it began vacuuming in Spot mode.
You can share your robot by having each person download the Rowenta robot app and follow the connection instructions.
The robot can run up to 120 min before its battery is low.

If you want to sell your robot, think about deleting your data:

It will take 3-4 hours to charge an empty battery.
In order to extend the battery lifespan, always keep the robot charging at its station. When not using the robot for a long time, please fully charge the battery, switch off the robot by pressing and holding the ON-OFF button for 5 seconds. Store the robot in a cool dry place.
At the end of the cleaning session, the robot returns to its station and automatically washes and dries the mops. Dust box is emptied in the dust bag.
However, some durt may remains. Still, it is recommended to clean the dust box, the washing tray, the mops, the filter & the brushes regularly.
When editing your map, use the "Zones" button to create and edit two different types of zone. The "no go zone" is a restricted area where robot access is forbidden. "no mop zone" is a restricted zone where robot access is forbidden when the robots has its wet mops on.
The mop washing process is approximatively 3 to 4 minutes.
The mop drying process is approximatively 3 hours.
The anti-tangle technology significantly reduces hair tangling around the main brush. The robot is equipped with a comb integrated into the brush housing, which helps detangle and suction up hair as the brush rotates.
To enable or disable child lock, press and hold the "Child Lock" button on the robot for 3 seconds.
Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled. Leave it at a local civic waste collection point.
